Submission of visa application

Applications for Schengen visa may be lodged at the Embassy or at Visa Application Centres, operated by the external service provider.

Application for Schengen visa may be lodged directly at the Embassy by:

  • the family members of a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania (the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership has been contracted, minor children/adopted children (hereinafter: 'children'), including the minor children of the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership has been contracted, on condition that they are not married and are dependent, as well as direct relatives in the ascending line who have been dependent for at least one year and are unable to use the support of other family members residing in a foreign state);
  • the family members of a citizen of the European Union or a citizen of a Member State of the European Free Trade Association, who apply for a visa exercising their right of free movement as provided for in the Directive 2004/38/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 (the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership has been contracted, his direct descendants who are under the age of 21 or are dependants, including direct descendants of the spouse or person with whom the registered partnership has been contracted, who are under the age of 21 or those who are dependants, the dependent direct relatives in the ascending line of a citizen of an EU Member State, of the spouse or of the person with whom the person has contracted a registered partnership);
  • holders of diplomatic and service passports, as well as persons applying for a visa with letters of support, issued by the official institutions of the Russian Federation, subject to reciprocity.

Lodging of an application for Schengen visa directly at the Embassy is possible by appointment only. Appointments can be requested by email kons.ru@urm.lt.


Other applicants lodge their applications for Schengen visa at Visa Application Centres.

Information on procedure of lodging an application for Schengen visa and opening hours of Visa Application Centres is published at the website of the external service provider. Address of the Lithuanian Visa Application Centre in Moscow is Kashirskoe Shosse 3, k. 2, s. 4, BC "Sirius Park" (metro station "Nagatinskaya“). Applications for a visa can also be lodged at Visa Applications Centres in other cities of the Russian Federation.

For lodging an application for Schengen visa at Visa Application Centres applicants pay the service fee of EUR 15,90. The service fee is charged in Russian Roubles in accordance with the official exchange rate of the euro to the Russian Rouble as set for the day by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The service fee is waived for the lodging applications for children under 12 years.


Applicants shall appear in person when lodging an application for the collection of fingerprints. Applications may be lodged by the applicant, by a professional, cultural, sports or educational association or institution on behalf of its members (documents confirming membership in association or institution shall be provided), and by family members on behalf of other family members (documents confirming family ties shall be provided).
