Changes to the procedure of issuing national visas from 1 July 2023

As of 1 July 2023, following the entry into force of changes to the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Legal Status of Aliens, aliens residing outside Lithuania will only be able to lodge applications for national visa through the external service provider chosen by the Migration Department. Until now, such applications were accepted by Lithuanian diplomatic missions, consular offices or visa application centres abroad, selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
